Japanese Granny is a movie about an elderly Japanese granny who lives alone in her home. She has no family and rarely leaves her house, spending most of her days tending to the garden or knitting. One day, she meets a young woman named Miki who moves into the neighborhood with her two children. The two quickly become friends and Miki helps out around the house while learning more about granny's life story. As they spend time together, granny regains the strength and courage to get out of the house and explore new places outside of her comfort zone. Despite their age difference, they form a strong bond as both learn from each other what it means to be an adult.
